Short Conferences with Other People, or a S.C.W.O.P., is an opportunity to allow learners to share their learning journey while welcoming in folks outside of your learning space to conference.
WHY S.C.W.O.P.?
The learner who participates in the SCWOP has the opportunity to showcase their success, show areas that require further work as well as being given the space to ask for further support in a low stakes situation.

Our learning community gains the opportunity to reacquaint with past students, creates a context for conversation, builds community across the school, allows for a new window into individual's life situation and builds, most importantly, a new human connection.
HOW DO I S.C.W.O.P.?
SCWOPing requires a few important steps:
-
5 minutes or less of your time
-
SCWOPee who should be prompted to discuss a specific topic or project
-
SCWOPer who is responsible for asking the 3 SCWOP questions and recording the SCWOPee's responses

After the SCWOP:
-
share SCWOPee's responses with adult learner
-
adult learner responds to additional support/feedback as soon as possible.
